Only if you are using fast track (~1 week, £166.50) or premium same-day (£239.50, adults only). Standard online applications are processed without any visit - apply online, receive by post.

What to Bring to Your Appointment
- Completed online application and PEX reference number (shown on screen after applying)
- Current passport (or explanation if lost/stolen)
- Two identical passport photos taken within the past month
- Proof of travel booking (flight, Eurostar, or ferry confirmation showing your name and date)
- Supporting documents if name has changed (marriage certificate, deed poll, etc.)
If your documents are incomplete at the appointment, you may not receive your passport. The fee is non-refundable if you miss the appointment without adequate notice.
